Mr. Karas is the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Transformation Officer for CAPREIT, a national multi-family housing company. Prior to joining CAPREIT, Mr. Karas was President of Enterprise Solutions Group, a technology-oriented consulting firm in Hunt Valley, MD.

He is passionate about creating high functioning teams and outstanding corporate cultures. He has extensive experience in the real estate, financial, healthcare, and technology sectors. He has in-depth knowledge in the areas of employee retention, corporate governance, corporate structure, process improvement, business and systems process analysis and full life cycle systems development. Mr. Karas is also a noted expert in the implementation and optimization of enterprise resource planning and financial management systems.

Mr. Karas holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration, with concentrations in Accounting, Management, and Management Information Systems from Loyola University Maryland. He holds multiple certifications including being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Global Managerial Accountant (CGMA), and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt (SSMB).
